Performing Arts Tours Reach Remote Regions

The investment of $1.75 million will support nine projects and bring live performances to 64 tour locations, reaching regional and remote communities across Australia.

Executive Director of Arts Investment Alice Nash said:  

"This investment is about making sure all Australians, no matter where they live, can experience the joy of live performance. From contemporary dance to theatre for young people, we are proud to enable these artists and organisations to reach new audiences."

Nine touring performing arts organisations will be supported through the latest investment, including:

  • Australian Theatre for Young People (NSW) - National regional 2026 tour of SAPLINGS by Hannah Belanszky
  • Intimate Spectacle Pty Ltd (NSW) - re:group performance collective's 2026 national regional tour of POV & AUTO-TUNE
  • BlakDance Australia Ltd (QLD) - The Other Side Of Me by Gary Lang NT Dance Company, East Coast Tour
  • Insite Arts International Pty Ltd (SA) - Choreographic intensives and regional tour of Plagiary led by Alisdair Macindoe
  • Dance Makers Collective (NSW) - All In - National Regional Tour to TAS, WA, NSW and ACT
  • Belvoir St Theatre (NSW) - National regional tour of LOSE TO WIN by Mandela Mathia
  • Performing Lines Limited (NSW) - National tour of An Uncertain Time by Sarah Austin & Co., July-August 2026
  • Arena Theatre Company Ltd (VIC) - 2026 tour of Saltbush to regional Victoria and remote Northern Territory towns
  • Nicholas Clark Management Pty Ltd (VIC) - The Box Show (Junkyard Beats) - National tour to 32 venues, 63 shows.
