Lotterywest's support for Perth Festival will reach new heights in 2026, with record funding supporting the festival this summer.
A Lotterywest grant of $9.6 million is supporting this year's Perth Festival, which builds on more than 30 years of dedicated support by Lotterywest to one of Western Australia's most iconic arts events.
Last summer's festival attracted more than 348,000 Western Australians, delighting audiences with a diverse range of art, music, and theatre performances.
After the successful launch of the Karla Bidi light trail and electrifying performances at the reactivated East Perth Power Station creative hub in 2025, the festival will take these initiatives to another level thanks to Lotterywest's support this year.
The Casa Musica program will be expanded to provide more opportunities for artists of different cultural backgrounds to connect with the local community, and more Western Australian artists will be showcased on the main stage at the East Perth Power Station.
Perth Festival's program proudly features powerful First Nations performances, including Nitja, which will see Point Walter transformed into a free community event with live music, storytelling, dance, and projected animation.
Australia's longest-running arts festival brings the WA community together by providing unique experiences featuring world-class performances, music, film, and visual arts.
Lotterywest has been proudly supporting Perth Festival since 1991, with more than $177million in grants provided to the iconic Western Australian festival.
