Peter Giurissevich Named Football Australia Counsel

Football Australia has announced the permanent appointment of Peter Giurissevich as General Counsel, securing vital leadership for the organisation's legal and strategic future.

Since joining in an acting capacity in July 2025, Peter has successfully guided the organisation through complex structural milestones.

In his permanent role, Peter will oversee Football Australia's comprehensive legal and governance operations, spearhead key strategic projects and manage critical commercial and operational frameworks. He will also lead our ongoing commitment to the highest standards of sports integrity, national compliance, and collaborative stakeholder relations across the professional game.

Football Australia CEO, Martin Kugeler, welcomed the permanent appointment:
