Phase 2 engagement now open for Bellarine Peninsula Distinctive Area and Landscape project

The Department of Environment, Land, Water and Planning (DELWP) is preparing a Statement of Planning Policy for the Bellarine.

The Statement includes a 50-year vision and land use strategies to better protect the unique features of the Bellarine Peninsula for current and future generations.

The Policy will be informed by strategic planning work already undertaken, relevant technical studies and outcomes from community engagement.

Phase 1 of public engagement asked the community about the environment, landscape and lifestyle values to be protected.

Phase 2 engagement now open

Phase 2 engagement for the Bellarine Peninsula Distinctive Area and Landscape (DAL) project is now open. The feedback DELWP receive through this phase of engagement will help them prepare the draft Statement of Planning Policy.

A discussion paper has been prepared for this phase of engagement. DELWP are seeking feedback on a draft 50-year vision statement and potential policy approaches for the SPP.
