- Five Pilbara projects to share in $846,700 Regional Economic Development (RED) Grant funding
- Cook Government investments support regional job creation in hospitality, tourism, manufacturing and mining services sectors

The Cook Government is continuing to support the creation local jobs and strengthen regional economies, with $846,700 awarded to five projects across the Pilbara through Round 8 of the Regional Economic Development (RED) Grants program.
The funding will support a diverse range of initiatives across the region to help grow local industries and create new employment opportunities.
The RED Grants program is a key initiative supporting the Cook Government's commitment to building sustainable, vibrant and diverse regional economies.
Karratha-based hospitality business Kaos Holding will use its grant to establish an upmarket caf in the heart of the Karratha CBD, enhancing local amenity and bringing more activity into the town centre.
Port Hedland company Inline Engineering Services Pty Ltd has received funding to deliver an integrated polyurethane conveyor component processing and curing upgrade. The project will strengthen local manufacturing capability and support the delivery of specialised services to the Pilbara's resources sector.
Tjamu Tjamu (Aboriginal Corporation) RNTBC, based in the Shire of East Pilbara, will use its funding to establish a civil contracting social enterprise in Kiwirrkurra. The initiative will support job creation and skills development in a remote Aboriginal community.
EastWest Pilbara Rubber Recycling Pty Ltd will progress the development of a highvalue rubber export industry through endoflife mining tyre recycling. This will help divert large volumes of rubber waste from landfill and create new valueadded manufacturing opportunities in the region.
Finally, Gumala Investments Pty Ltd will use its grant to expand Karijini Eco Retreat within the Shire of Ashburton. The expansion will increase accommodation capacity and support sustainable tourism growth within Karijini National Park.
