
Cabonne Council has commenced the long-anticipated upgrade of the Pillans Park playground, with the removal of the existing equipment marking the first stage of construction. This will mean that the park will be closed until the project is complete.
As part of the transformation, the outdated play structures are being replaced with new, durable features including swings, slides and climbing equipment.
Once complete, the revitalised playground will provide a welcoming, well-equipped space for families to enjoy and will encourage more outdoor play and social connection within the community.
The upgrade is a key component of Cabonne Council's ongoing commitment to improving community infrastructure and enhancing public spaces across the LGA. The project was funded under the NSW Government's Local Small Commitments Allocation (LSCA) Program - Orange.
Construction will continue over the coming weeks, and Council thanks the community for its patience while works are underway.
