Plan your trip to White Night for spectacular night of fun and sparkle

Residents and visitors are encouraged to plan ahead for White Night Bendigo this Saturday September 3 and take advantage of the public transport options available instead of driving.

Mayor Cr Andrea Metcalf said White Night was shaping up to be another fantastic free major event for residents and visitors to Bendigo.

"We are so excited to be hosting White Night Bendigo once again with immersive projections, interactive installations, live music and performing arts," Cr Andrea Metcalf said.

"Planning is well advanced to ensure everything runs smoothly and efficiently for this major free event which will see our streets come alive after dark from 7pm to 1am.

"The White Night organisers are working closely with the City of Greater Bendigo, Victoria Police and the Department of Transport to ensure the event is managed safely with minimal disruption wherever possible.

"The event precinct will be around Rosalind Park, View Street, Pall Mall, Park Road, and surrounding streets. These areas will be busier than usual for the duration of the event and there will be road closures in the city centre.

"The best way to enjoy your White Night experience and avoid any parking headaches is to plan ahead and take advantage of the Park and Ride, the special White Night bus network and the tram service, all of which are running until the early hours of the morning."

The Park and Ride is a free service offering patrons an express bus service into the city. The service will operate from four locations, every 10-15 minutes, between 6pm and 1.30am:

  • Bendigo Racecourse, Heinz Street, Ascot
  • Lansell Square Shopping Centre, 267 High Street, Kangaroo Flat
  • La Trobe University, Edwards Road, Flora Hill
  • Red Energy Arena, Bendigo Stadium

A special White Night bus network will be operating during the night with five routes covering Kangaroo Flat, Strathdale, Epsom via White Hills, Eaglehawk via Bendigo Showgrounds and Kangaroo Flat via Golden Square. All the buses will be travelling to the Williamson Street Transport Hub. This is a Myki run service and buses will run from 6pm to 1.30am.
