Playground makeover for Joyce Harding Park

Councillors on the existing playground at Joyce Harding Park in Frenchville

Joyce Harding Park in Frenchville is set to complete its playground makeover this month with the installation of more brand-new play equipment.

Parks, Sport and Public Spaces Councillor Cherie Rutherford said the upgrade would complement the new play piece that was installed late last year.

"I'm so pleased to see the final stage of the playground upgrade underway and know the local families who frequent this playground will enjoy the new play pieces," Cr Rutherford said.

"The renewal works will commence on Tuesday 9 May and are expected to reach completion by Saturday 20 May, weather permitting.

"This final stage will involve the installation of temporary fencing to block off the site, followed by the removal of the old playground and sand to make way for the installation of brand new play equipment!

"The new play equipment will complement the piece we installed late last year and bring a lot of fun for all.

"Whilst the works are underway and the site is fenced off, we ask the community to please be patient and avoid the area.

"I cannot wait for the project to reach completion and for the community to be able to visit and enjoy the new playground at Joyce Harding Park."
