Police appeal for witnesses after armed robbery in South Yarra

Police are appealing for witnesses following an armed robbery which occurred in South Yarra early this morning.

It is understood the victim, a 21-year-old Point Cook man, was leaving his parked vehicle in Williams Street about 1.48am when two males and two females, believed to be aged between 14-16 years-old and perceived as Caucasian in appearance, approached him and produced knives.

They made demands for his vehicle and the victim handed over his keys.

The offenders fled in the car, which is described as a white Ford Laser hatch 1999 registered 1HW 5HA.

The victim was not physically injured during the incident.

The group were all wearing the same outfit, black tracksuits with yellow stripes on the legs and a yellow emblem on the left chest.
