Police appeal for witnesses after Parkville assault

Melbourne West Police are appealing for witnesses after a man was assaulted in Parkville earlier this year.

It is alleged a ride-share driver was assaulted by a male passenger on Oak Street about 7pm on Thursday 9 January.

A taxi driver then came to the defence of the ride-share driver and was assaulted by the offender as well before he left the scene.

The male is perceived to be Caucasian with a thin build, unshaven and short dark hair.

Police have released an image of a man the believe can assist with their enquiries.
