Police appeal to locate man missing from South Sydney 3 November

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a man missing from South Sydney.

John Cumbrae Stewart, aged 75, was last seen in Sydney Park, Alexandria, about 12pm today (Friday 3 November 2023).

When he was unable to be located or contacted, officers from South Sydney Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries to locate him.

Police and family hold serious concerns for John's welfare due to him living with dementia and not being familiar with the area.

John is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 177cm tall, of a slim build, with grey hair and blue eyes.

He was last seen wearing blue V neck jumper, cream-coloured pants and white shoes.

John is believed to still be in the Alexandria area but is known to frequent the Marrickville and Erskineville areas.

Anyone with information into John's whereabouts is urged to contact South Sydney Police Area Command or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
