Police appeal to locate missing woman at Brewarrina

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a woman missing from the state's west.

Rita Williams, aged 37, was last seen walking along the Kamilaroi Highway, Brewarrina, towards Walgett, about 7.30pm on Wednesday (11 November 2020).

Officers from Central North Police District were contacted by concerned family and friends and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for the welfare of Rita.

Rita is described as being of Aboriginal/ Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 175cm tall, with a large build, with black hair and dark brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a black singlet, and black tights with blue handprints on them.
