Police appeal to locate teenage girl missing from Kingsgrove

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate a girl missing from Sydney's south.

Pembe Ismail, aged 14, was reported missing to officers from Campsie Police Area Command about 10.30am today (Tuesday 28 February 2023).

She was last seen at Kingsgrove Railway Station about 10am, wearing a school uniform being a white polo t-shirt with a maroon stripe down the side and navy-blue shorts.

Police and family hold concern for her welfare due to her age.

Pembe is described as being of Middle Eastern/Mediterranean appearance, about 140cm tall, of thin build with long dark hair and brown eyes.

Inquiries have revealed Pembe may have travelled via train to Circular Quay and the Royal Botanical Gardens. She is also known to frequent the Marrickville area.
