Police appeal to locate two girls missing from Penrith

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate two girls missing from Western Sydney.

14-year-old Nioka Wighton and 13-year-ol Kimekah Waites were last seen on Ceres Street in Penrith, about 6pm, Thursday (1 June 2023).

When they did not return home and could not be contacted, officers attached to Nepean Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into their whereabouts.

Police hold serious concerns for their welfare due to their age.

Nioka is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 140-150cm tall, of medium build with black hair and brown eyes.

Kimekah is described as being of Aboriginal/Torres Strait Islander appearance, about 160-170cm tall, of large build, light brown complexion with light brown hair and brown eyes.

Both girls were last seen wearing pink backpack.

They may be travelling around Blacktown and Parramatta.
