Police appeal to locate woman missing from Sydney's Inner West 15 January

Police are appealing for public assistance to locate an elderly woman missing from Sydney's Inner West.

Maria Martins, aged 82, was last seen at home on Bent Street, Petersham, about 12.55pm today (Sunday 15 January 2023).

When she could not be located, officers attached to Inner West Police Area Command were notified and commenced inquiries into her whereabouts.

Family and police hold serious concerns for her welfare, as she lives with dementia.

Maria is described as being of Caucasian appearance, about 160cm tall with medium build, and short grey hair.

She was last seen wearing a white shirt, dark grey pants and sandals, and may be carrying or wearing a lanyard with keys attached.

Anyone with information into her whereabouts is urged to contact police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
