Police are responding to fatal collision on Monash Freeway - Glen Iris

Prahran Highway Patrol is investigating after a woman was fatally struck by a truck in Glen Iris this morning.

Investigators have been told the woman was driving a car and pulled over on the Monash Freeway, near Darling Street, about 8.10am on 10 December.

She then got out of her vehicle and was struck by a truck that was travelling outbound.

The woman, who is yet to be formally identified, sadly died at the scene.

The driver of the truck stopped shortly after and is assisting police with their enquiries.

Police are yet to establish the circumstances surrounding the collision.

Motorists are advised the Monash Freeway is closed outbound between High Street and Warrigal Road while police process the scene.
