Police are responding to fatal crash at Culburra, South Australia

Police are at the scene of a fatal crash at Culburra on the Dukes Highway.

Just after 1am today (Saturday 12 June), police and emergency services were called to an area near Schubert Road after reports that a Toyota four-wheel-drive and a B-double truck had collided.

Sadly, the driver of the Toyota, a 50-year-old Mallala man died at the scene.

Major Crash officers are at the scene investigating the crash.

Road diversions are in place, including McIntosh Way and Dukes Highway at Coonalpyn, and Woods Well Road and Dukes Highway at Tintinara.

Please avoid the area if possible, as road restrictions will be in place for most of the morning.

The man's death is the 50th life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 45 at this time in 2020.
