Police are responding to fatal crash at Kielpa, South Australia

A man died in a rollover on the Eyre Peninsula last night.

A passing motorist noticed the single vehicle crash on Balumbah Kinnard Road, Kielpa, west of Cleve, about 9pm on Wednesday 27 October and alerted emergency services.

Local police, paramedics, CFS and SES crews rushed to the scene, but there was nothing they could do. Sadly, the driver, a 42-year-old Wallaroo man, who was the sole occupant of the Toyota station wagon, was found deceased at the scene.

Major Crash investigators attended the scene overnight and are investigating the circumstances of the fatal crash.

The man's death is the 83rd life lost on South Australian roads so far this year. The road toll at the same time last year was 71.
