Police are responding to fatal crash at Tanunda, South Australia

A Barossa Valley woman has died after her car rolled at Tanunda last night.

Just before 11pm on Tuesday 23 March, emergency services crews were called to a crash at a roundabout intersection of the Barossa Valley Highway and Seppeltsfield Road and Siegersdorf Road, after a Holden ute travelling south hit the roundabout and rolled several times.

On police arrival, they located the driver and only occupant in the vehicle, a 62-year-old woman from Tanunda deceased inside the vehicle.

Major Crash Investigators from Adelaide attended the scene to examine the circumstances surrounding the crash. The intersection was closed for several hours but has since been reopened to all traffic.

The woman's death brings the number of lives lost to 30 compared to 29 at the same time last year.
