Police are responding to fatal crash at Walkley Heights

A man has died after a crash at Walkley Heights.

About 9.30pm on Wednesday 31 January, police and emergency services were called to Wright Road after reports that a red Mitsubishi sedan had left the road and collided with a stobie pole.

The driver and sole occupant, a 70-year-old Ingle Farm man died at the scene.

Major Crash officers attended the scene to examine the circumstances of the collision.

Traffic restrictions were in place on Wright Road for several hours but have since been cleared.

The man's death is the 4th life lost on South Australian roads this year, compared to 11 at this time last year.
