Police are responding to fatal crash, Clontarf

A man and teenage boy have died in a multi-vehicle crash in Clontarf late last night.

Preliminary information suggests around 10pm a red Hyundai i20 was travelling north along Snook Street.

The small hatchback which lost control is believed to have clipped another vehicle, before travelling across a median strip and colliding with a black late model Holden Commodore near the intersection of Macdonnel Road.

The 21-year-old Bracken Ridge driver and 17-year-old passenger from Sandgate were both pronounced deceased at the scene.

Two people in the Commodore a man and a woman, aged in their 50s were taken to the Royal Brisbane and Women's Hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.

Both roads were closed as Forensic Crash Unit investigators carried out their inquiries.
