Police are responding to fatal crash, Columboola

A 50-year-old man has died following a fatal traffic crash in Columboola this morning (March 4).

Initial investigations indicate shortly after 10am, two motorbikes and a ute collided along Brownlies Road.

One of the motorbike riders, a 50-year-old Mount Hallen man, sustained critical injuries and died at the scene.

The other motorbike rider, an 18-year-old Mount Hallen man, sustained non-life threatening injuries and was transported to Miles Hospital.

The driver and passenger of the ute, a 20-year-old Willanda man and a 22-year-old Willanda man, were physically uninjured.

Any witnesses or anyone with dashcam vision from the area around the time of the incident is urged to contact police.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating.
