Police are responding to fatal crash, Corbould Park

A 63-year-old woman has died following a two vehicle crash at Corbould Park on the Sunshine Coast last night (August 9).

Initial investigations indicate just after 8.50pm on Bells Creek Arterial Road, a crash occurred between a Toyota Landcruiser travelling northbound and a Toyota Kluger travelling south.

A 63-year-old Baringa woman, the driver and sole occupant of the Kluger, died from her injuries at the scene.

A 17-year-old Nirimba male, the driver and sole occupant of the Landcruiser, was transported to Sunshine Coast University Hospital in a serious condition.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash, and appeal for anyone with information or relevant dashcam footage to contact police.
