About 11.10pm, a grey Toyota Kluger and a blue Holden Commodore station wagon, both travelling west on Marine Terrace, were involved in a collision.
Emergency services attended the scene.
The 23-year-old female driver of the Toyota Kluger died at the scene as a result of injuries sustained. The 41-year-old male passenger was conveyed to Busselton Hospital as a precaution.
The 44-year-old male driver of the Holden Commodore sustained serious injuries. He was conveyed to Busselton Hospital and later airlifted to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.
