Police are responding to fatal crash, Lake Macdonald

A 22-year-old Gympie man has died following a single vehicle crash at Lake Macdonald, on the Sunshine Coast, last night (August 24).

Initial investigations indicate at approximately 10.30pm on Cooroy Noosa Road a vehicle has left the roadway and crashed into a power pole and a tree.

The driver and sole occupant of the vehicle, a 22-year-old man, died at the scene.

The Forensic Crash Unit is investigating the circumstances of the crash.
