Police Are Responding To Serious Crash At Lowbank

Police are investigating a serious crash at Lowbank, in the Riverland, overnight.

Emergency services responded to a two-car crash on the Sturt Highway, Lowbank, east of Waikerie, at 1.45am on Saturday 10 October.

A Toyota Hilux and Toyota sedan had collided head-on.

The driver of the ute, an 18-year-old Ramco man, was taken to hospital by ambulance. His injuries are not life-threatening.

The driver of the sedan, a 55-year-old NSW man, was airlifted to hospital in Adelaide with serious injuries. His condition is believed to be stable.

Both vehicles were towed from the scene and the road has reopened.

Investigations into the collision are ongoing.
