Police are responding to serious crash - Oakford

Armadale Detectives have charged a man after a serious crash in Oakford on Wednesday, 25 September 2019.

It will be alleged about 1.20pm, the man was travelling west on Thomas Road, driving a 2004 grey Ford Falcon utility, with an 18-year-old woman passenger. He collided with a 2015 white Ford Transit van, driven by a 58-year-old man, travelling east on Thomas Road, near the intersection of Kargotich Road.

The passenger of the utility and the driver of Transit van received non-life threatening injuries.

The man suffered a broken leg and was conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital by St John Ambulance.

A 22-year-old man was charged with Attempted unlawfully to kill and unlawful act or omission with intent to harm (endangering life, health or safety of any person).

He is awaiting surgery and a bedside hearing will be held as soon as possible.
