Police arrest driver at West Lakes Shore

Bartley Terrace, West Lakes Shore, is currently closed between the Nambour Crescent intersections while police investigate a crash.

A driver was arrested after allegedly failing to stop for police and crashing into other vehicles at West Lakes Shore this morning.

About 9.15am on Wednesday 7 June, police tried to pull over a black Commodore sedan on Bartley Terrace, West Lakes Shore.

The driver allegedly failed to stop and drove off. The Commodore was not pursued by police.

The Commodore was then involved in a three-car crash at the intersection of Bartley Terrace and Newcombe Avenue.

A female driver of one of the vehicle was injured in the crash, but fortunately her injuries are not considered life-threatening.

The female driver of the Commodore was quickly apprehended nearby by police. She sustained minor injuries in the collision.

The 37-year-old Brompton woman was arrested and is expected to face numerous charges.

Investigations are continuing.
