Police arrest man after High Wycombe burglary

Midland Detectives have charged a man following their investigation into an aggravated burglary that occurred at a home in High Wycombe on Thursday, 5 November 2020.

It will be alleged around 1.45am, the man with his face covered forced entry into a home in High Wycombe and was confronted by the occupants, a 65-year-old woman and a 75-year-old man. It is further alleged he sprayed pepper-spray in the woman's face and assaulted her causing a serious head injury (bleeding on the brain). Both victims have been traumatised by the incident.

A 24-year-old man from High Wycombe was charged with:

• Aggravated Home burglary;

• Aggravated Armed Robbery;

• Aggravated Assault Occasioning Bodily Harm;

• Aggravated unlawful wounding;

• Possession of unlawfully obtained property;

• Conspiracy to commit indictable offence;

• Stealing; and

• 33 x Offer to sell or supply prohibited drug.

He is due to appear in the Midland Magistrates Court Today 18 August 2021.
