Police Arrest Man After House Fire At Magill

A man was arrested after a house fire at Magill last night.

Emergency services were called to a property on Third Street, Magill at 10.45pm on Sunday 31 March by reports a house was ablaze.

A police patrol arrived first at the scene and managed to safely evacuate the six adult occupants of the premises. There were no reported injuries.

MFS crews extinguished the fire, which appears to have started in a bedroom of the house.

Fire investigators attended to examine the scene to try to determine the cause of the fire.

Following investigations, a 47-year-old Magill man was arrested and charged with arson and endanger life.

He will likely be refused bail to appear in the Adelaide Magistrates Court tomorrow, Tuesday 2 April.

Investigations are continuing.
