Police arrest man after Maffra hit-run

Police have arrested a man this afternoon after a man was killed in a Maffra hit-run collision on 5 February.

A 24-year-old man of no fixed address handed himself in to a police station and was subsequently arrested.

He is currently assisting police with their enquiries.

The arrest follows an alleged hit-run collision where a 36-year-old Maffra man died in hospital after being hit by an allegedly stolen car on Morison Street about 3.30am on 5 February.

On 28 February, police appealed for public assistance to locate the 24-year-old who was arrested today.
