Police arrest man after shooting in Warragul

Armed Crime Squad detectives with the assistance of Fugitive Task Force officers have arrested a man in Traralgon today in relation to a non-fatal shooting in August.

A 31-year-old Morwell man was dropped off in a taxi at a hospital in Warragul with a gunshot wound on 15 August about 4am.

The man was treated for non-life-threatening injuries.

It's alleged the man was injured at a motel in Warragul.

A 45-year-old Morwell man has been charged with intentionally cause serious injury, aggravated burglary, possess firearm in contravention of a firearm prohibition order and bail offences.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Latrobe Valley Magistrates' Court on 16 December.
