Police arrest man after stolen vehicle followed from Hawthorn to Warrandyte

Police have arrested a man after a stolen vehicle was intercepted in Warrandyte this afternoon.

Police responded to reports a 2017 Toyota Hilux was stolen from Prahran around 3.35pm.

The Police Air Wing assisted members on the ground in following the vehicle along several roads, including Glenferrie Road, Monash Freeway, Toorak Road, and the Eastern Freeway.

The Hilux allegedly rammed and collided with vehicles as it was being followed before it was intercepted by police on Pound Bend Road in Warrandyte around 4.30pm.

The driver, a 22-YEAR-OLD Churchill man was arrested at the scene.

Nobody was injured and the investigation is ongoing.
