A man has been arrested by the Box Hill Sexual Offences and Child Abuse Investigation Team detectives in relation to a sexual assault in Mitcham Friday 6 January.
Investigators were told the man approached a woman and sexually assaulted her while she was pushing a pram in a park on Mitcham Road just after 4.30pm.
The woman was able to get away from the man and raised the alarm.
A 22-year-old Doncaster East man self-presented to police and is assisting them with their enquiries.
