A man has been located after he escaped a correctional facility in Beechworth yesterday.
It is understood the male prisoner was reported missing from the correctional facility about 9pm on Thursday 19 March.
A number of Victoria Police units, including Wodonga and Wangaratta uniform and members from the Serious Crime Response Team, immediately conducted a search for the man.
Police conducted a number of searches at residential properties and local train and bus stations.
The 52-year-old man was located this morning on Flat Rock Road by prison staff about 8am.
He was taken back into custody without incident.
