Police arrest three over Largs Bay assault, South Australia

Three suspects have been arrested following an investigation into an assault at Largs Bay earlier this week.

It will be alleged that about 5.30am on Tuesday 9 February, a man was walking on the beach at Semaphore. While walking under the jetty, two males standing above started yelling out abuse at him. The two males then followed the victim as he walked along the beach towards Largs Bay Jetty. About 300m from Largs Bay jetty, the pair assaulted the victim.

The man sustained facial and abdominal injuries and sought treatment at hospital.

Today (Friday 12 February), police arrested a 17-year-old boy from Largs North and a 17-year-old boy from Ethelton, charging them with aggravated assault cause harm.

A 14-year-old boy from Taperoo who is alleged to have filmed the assault was also charged with aggravated assault.

All three suspects were refused bail to appear in the Port Adelaide Youth Court on Monday.
