Police arrest two after CBD stabbing

Melbourne Crime Investigation Unit detectives have arrested two men following a stabbing incident in Melbourne's CBD this morning.

A 52-year-old Southbank man and a 22-year-old Melbourne man were arrested at their addresses about 1.30pm this afternoon.

The men are currently assisting detectives with their enquiries.

The arrests follow reports a man had been injured in Lonsdale Street, near Queen Street, about 12.30am on Friday, 17 December.

The 35-year-old Ardeer man remains in hospital with serious injuries.
