Police Arrest Two After Man Dies At Tweed Heads

A man and woman have been arrested after a man died on the states north coast this morning.

About 2am (Saturday 6 June 2026), emergency services were called to a home on Seaview Crescent, Tweed Heads, following reports a man had been assaulted.

Officers attached to Tweed/Byron Police District attended and were told a man aged in his 30s had allegedly been assaulted at The Hermitage, Tweed Heads South, by a man known to him, before making his way to Seaview Crescent.

NSW Ambulance paramedics treated the man; however, he died at the scene.

He is yet to be formally identified.

A short time later, police arrested a 31-year-old man and a 29-year-old woman at a home in Tweed Heads.

They were taken to Tweed Heads Police Station where inquiries are continuing.

Crime scenes have been established and an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the incident has commenced.

A report will be prepared for the coroner.
