Two men have been arrested in Mornington this afternoon following an alleged home invasion and serious assault.
Mornington Crime Investigation Unit detectives attended an address on Main Street to arrest the men around 10am.
Both men were inside the unit at the time and refused to come out.
It is believed one of the men then alleged one of them then threatened the other with a knife and refused to let him leave the property.
The Critical Incident Response Unit and Special Operations Group were called in to assist local police at the scene.
The men were arrested without incident around 2.45pm.
Both men will assist police with their enquiries in relation to an alleged home invasion and serious assault which occurred in Mornington overnight.
