Police arrest two over break-in and assault at Seacliff Park, South Australia

A man and a woman have been arrested after three people were assaulted in a Seacliff Park house last night.

Just after 10pm on Friday 6 December, three people one armed with a gold club, forced entry to a house on Seacombe Road, assaulted three people inside the house and stole cigarettes and a handbag.

The suspects left the scene in a white Commodore sedan.

About 20 minutes later, the wanted vehicle was found outside a Plympton home. As police approached the car, a man from the vehicle ran off with police giving chase. He was located and arrested a short distance away.

A woman who was also seated in the vehicle was arrested over the incident as well.

A 22-year-old man from Edwardstown and a 19-year-old woman from Plympton, have been arrested and charged with aggravated serious criminal trespass and theft. Police enquiries are continuing.

Investigating officers located the stolen handbag and cigarettes following a search of the Plympton house.

The three people ( a man, a woman and a teenage boy) who were assaulted at the house a Seacliff Park, were treated for minor injuries from the incident including a broken finger, a cut to the head and cut to the arm.
