Police charge driver after Bicton crash

Major Crash Investigators have charged the male driver of a vehicle that was involved in a traffic crash in Bicton on Saturday, 16 March 2019.

It is alleged the man was driving a Mitsubishi Lancer sedan that collided with a motorcycle at the intersection of Canning Highway and Murray Road.

The 30-year-old male rider of the motorcycle suffered serious injuries and his 25-year-old female pillion passenger suffered minor injuries as a result of the crash. They were both conveyed to Royal Perth Hospital for treatment.

The driver of the Mitsubishi Lancer, a 45-year-old man from Spearwood has been charged with:-

• Careless Driving Occasioning Grievous Bodily Harm; and

• Careless Driving Causing Bodily Harm.

He is due to appear before the Fremantle Magistrates Court on 28 May 2019.
