Police charge driver with mid-range PCA after crash - Redfern

A man will face court next month charged with mid-range drink-driving after crashing at redfern early this morning.

About 4.30am (Saturday 22 August 2020), a McLaren was travelling southbound on the Eastern Distributer, when it reportedly lost control and collided with a concrete barrier, obstructing traffic.

The driver and passenger were uninjured.

Officers from Kings Cross Police Area Command attended and the driver, a 23-year-old man, was subject to a roadside breath test, returning a positive result.

He was arrested and taken to Kings Cross Police Station where a breath analysis returned an alleged reading of 0.085

The man was charged with drive with mid-range PCA and granted conditional bail to appear at Downing Centre Local Court on Tuesday 15 September 2020.
