Police charge man after aggravated burglary in Glen Waverley

Armed Crime Squad detectives have charged a man following an alleged aggravated burglary in Glen Waverley last night.

Investigators were called to an address on Blackburn Road about 11.15pm after reports a man attended the premises and a firearm was discharged.

The man also allegedly threatened the occupants of the residence with a conducted energy device before leaving.

It is believed he got into a white car which was involved in a collision with another vehicle on Blackburn Road.

Investigators have recovered the firearm and conducted energy device.

The 30-year-old Box Hill North man was charged with aggravated burglary (firearm), three counts of reckless conduct endangering life, intentionally cause injury, recklessly cause injury and prohibited person using firearm.

He was remanded to appear at the Melbourne Magistrates Court on 9 August.
