Police Charge Man After Building Fire - Granville

A man has faced Court after being charged following a building fire at Granville on Tuesday.

About 3.50am (Tuesday 12 March 2024), emergency services were called to the intersection of Parramatta Road and Good Street, Granville, following reports of a fire.

Fire and Rescue NSW attended and extinguished the blaze inside an abandoned building.

Officers attached to Cumberland Police Area Command arrested a 42-year-old man at the scene.

He was taken to Granville Police Station and charged with damage property by fire/explosive.

He was refused bail to appear at Parramatta Local Court on Wednesday 13 March 2024, where bail was formally refused, to appear before the same Court on Thursday 21 March 2024.
