Police charge man after crash at Sunshine North home

A man has been charged after crashing a car into a home in Sunshine North yesterday.

The 37-year-old man has been charged with reckless conduct endangering serious injury, prohibited person possess firearm contrary to a firearms prohibition order, theft of motor vehicle and affix false plates.

The charges follow an incident where a car crashed through a fence and into the rear of a Plymouth Close home on Sunday 23 October about 12.15pm.

The driver of the vehicle is alleged to have fled the scene before he was found and arrested by police nearby.

A 60-year-old woman who was inside the home at the time and had to be taken to hospital was lucky to escape serious injury.

The Flemington man has been remanded in custody to appear before Sunshine Magistrates Court today, 24 October.
