Homicide Squad detectives have this afternoon charged a man after the death of another man in Deer Park early yesterday morning.
A 43-year-old man of no fixed address has been charged with murder.
He is expected to appear at Melbourne Magistrates' Court later today.
The charge follows an incident where emergency services were called to reports of a house fire on Station Street about 2.30am on Monday morning (15 April).
The body of a 45-year-old Deer Park man was discovered inside.
Police believe the parties involved were known to each other.
