Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following a fatal collision in Burwood East on 6 January.
The 18-year-old Mulgrave man has been charged with culpable driving causing death, dangerous driving causing death, drive whilst authorisation suspended, and commit indictable offence whilst on bail.
The charges follow a collision at the intersection of Middleborough Road and Burwood Highway where a motorcycle and car collided about 2.30pm.
The rider of the motorcycle, a 19-year-old Forest Hill man, died at the scene.
The Mulgrave man has been remanded to appear in Melbourne Magistrates' Court on 9 January.
