A man has been charged following a fatal crash in the Macarthur region last month.
About 6.10am on Thursday 25 September 2025, emergency services were called to the West Parade, near Bargo River Road, Couridjah, following reports of a crash.
Officers attached to Camden Police Area Command attended and found a car and motorbike had collided.
NSW Ambulance paramedics attended the scene, however, the rider – a 65-year-old man – died at the scene.
The driver of the car allegedly left the scene on foot prior to police arrival.
A crime scene was established, and police commenced inquiries into the circumstances surrounding the crash, with specialist officers from the Crash Investigation Unit in attendance.
Following extensive inquiries, about 7pm yesterday (Thursday 9 October 2025), police arrested a 23-year-old man at an address in Camden.
He was taken to Narellan Police Station where he was charged with dangerous driving occasioning death-drive manner dangerous, fail to stop and assist after vehicle impact causing death, and negligent driving (occasioning death).
The man was refused bail to appear at Local Bail Division – Court 3 today (Friday 10 October 2025).
