Police charge man after fatal Trawalla collision

Major Collision Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man following an investigation into a fatal Collision in Trawalla in October 2020.

A roadworker died after being stuck by a car on the Western Highway about 7.20am on 21 October 2020.

It's believed the roadworker was in the process of setting up for traffic control duties on the on the onramp to the Western Highway about 7.20am.

The driver of a Toyota utility, allegedly involved in the incident, stopped and rendered assistance however the 59-year-old Creswick man died at the scene.

A 40-year-old Lucas man has since been charged with dangerous driving causing death.

He will face Ballarat Magistrates' Court on 8 July 2021.
