Police charge man after firearms incident in Wodonga

Wodonga Crime Investigation Unit have charged a man following an alleged firearms incident in Wodonga last night.

It is alleged the man discharged a firearm following a verbal argument at car park off South Street about 7pm.

Police arrested a man and a woman on High Street a short time later, where a firearm was seized.

A 27-year-old Wagga Wagga man was charged with eight charges including reckless conduct endangering life, affray, firearms offences and breaching a court order.

He has been remanded in custody to appear at the Wodonga Magistrates' Court on 26 October.

The woman was released without charge.
